When you walk away, nothing more to say, see the lightning in your eyes, see ‘em running for their lives. Slowly outta line and drifting closer in your sights, so play it out I’m wide awake, it’s a scene about me. There’s something in your way and now someone is gonna pay A light huff slipped from pink painted lips as the blonde stared at the snakes that were in their tanks, her head tilting slightly before she stood and crossed over to them, heels clicking lightly on the hardwood floor beneath her. Why was she wearing her boots inside her house? The question left nearly as fast as it had come, obviously having no importance to the thoughts currently swarming around her head. For instance, why did her memory, which had always been perfect, suddenly suck? Or why were the people around her suddenly ignoring her? For a woman who had spent her whole life attracting attention, whether the people wanted to give it or not, this was most troubling. But of course, the most troubling question was…why weren’t her abilities working? Her best guess was that before she had killed the Shaman he had done something to block them. And Jezebelle was sure that she had killed him considering she was standing right here. Not that she could remember the actual act of his death. Reaching into the tank that held her King Cobra, Diablo, Jezebelle lifted him from the tank and watched as she shied away for only a brief second before curling up her arm, his tight body squeezing lightly. His head rose a bit and he stared at her, the extra skin on the back of his head remained flattened and she used one finger to stroke along his head slowly. “At least you’re not ignoring me, hm? Unlike those rude people out there in the world. Someone should really teach them a lesson, don’t you think?” Diablo merely swayed back and forth a bit, still watching her, and Jezebelle smiled; there was nothing like talking to your very venomous snake to make everything in the world that much better. Even if the thought of everyone ignoring her just pissed her the fuck off. “Well, maybe I’ll go ahead and give them another chance, yes?” She carefully put him back into the tank, securing the top so that he couldn’t escape, and left her house. Wandering the streets, Jezebelle waited for someone to say something, doing something, or show any kind of reaction toward her presence, but there was nothing. One man even had the nerve to brush past her hard enough that she stumbled. Anger flared in her ice blue eyes and she reached out, trying to use an ability to get him back, but nothing happened and very unladylike curses flew from her mouth. And so she did the next best thing. Increasing her pace, Jezebelle caught up to the man and pushed him, watching with a sort of sadistic glee in her eyes as he stumbled forward and lost his balance, falling to the concrete below. The contents of his briefcase spilled along with whatever liquid had been in his cup at the time, the items mixing together and ruining his work. He muttered and grumbled and Jezebelle stepped on a piece of paper that he was reaching for, watching his eyes widen and frustration crease his face even more when the paper didn’t budge. “You should learn from this you know, and watch where you’re going.” He didn’t respond or even acknowledge that she had spoken and the normally well behaved and composed blonde woman growled heavily before stalking off, slipping into an alleyway and pressing her back against the cool brick wall behind her. There was a pout and a scowl on her beautiful and young face, both of which were not flattering in the slightest. A door opened in the alley and light spilled out as a couple exited from the back of a bar, light music slipping out, and for a brief moment she thought that they had seen her, or at least the girl, but then they were starting to press against each and doing things that…probably would have been safer to do anywhere other than an alleyway really. But to each their own. Jezebelle grabbed hold of the door before it closed completely and slipped inside, looking around the bar. It wasn’t a large place, but it was decent sized, and a smile finally crossed her face as she looked around. There was no way all these people were going to be able to ignore her in here. Or at least that was what she thought. As she walked around, looking down at the people at the tables or gazing over the ones sitting at the bar, she waited to be noticed, her anger and annoyance growing whenever she was again ignored. What the fuck was wrong with these people?! Jezebelle stopped at a table where a very inebriated man was sitting alone, calling to a waitress in a rather lewd fashion, and she tapped him. He looked at his shoulder and brushed at it, as if he was simply brushing off a bug, and Jezebelle blinked at him. The waitress set down another beer, taking the bottles that were slowly piling up, a disgusted look on her face as she did so, and as she was walking away Jezebelle swatted at the beer in his hands. It flew and landed on the floor, causing the area to suddenly go quiet, “yeah, try to ignore me now.” The anger on his face was enough to quell a normal person, but Jezebelle wanted it turned at her just so she knew she wasn’t invisible. Not that it would happen that way. The man turned to the waitress instead and began yelling, standing from the table and blaming her, and Jezebelle felt her fingers curl into a ball, knuckles turning white, and then she was grabbing the edge of the table and flipping it, sending it crashing onto its side. Table flip of frustration! She glared at everyone and turned, waiting for someone to say something about what she had done, but there were all too busy staring at the table which ( as far as they were concerned ) had just flipped on its own. Everyone except for one man. He looked at her…actually looked at her too…and Jezebelle tilted her head while watching him walk out. “Hey wait!” She dashed after him and didn’t even realize it when she walked through the closing door, and raced forward to dash in front of him, stopping as she did so and looked up at him, “you can see me!” TAGGED iron/judas WORDS 1,069 OUTFIT here NOTES blegh >.> |
