Yep, it's finally here folks. Our first newsletter! Are you excited? well you should be, because I know that I am! Anyway, we've got a few things to cover for today's letter. Let's get started, shall we? OUT OF CHARACTER NEWS! ▶ Heeeyyy, would you look at this? Velveteen has been open for a week and with 23 registered accounts and 14 of them being accepted characters, I'd say that we're doing pretty good for ourselves. Let's hope that we keep growing in size and activity to make this site truly awesome! ▶ I'm trying to think of a new contest that we might have coming up soon. If anyone has any ideas about such a thing, they should pm the admin account or even leave a reply here. I'll love you forever and hey, might even pay you some monies for your input. ▶ In other news! I may or may not be looking for staff members to help me out around the site before I start pulling hair out, because I'm a horrid multi-tasker and that's when stupid mistakes happen. I also like to have people to If you're interested in a staff position, pm me with some brief information about you, plus what you can and cannot do for the site. Of course, becoming an admin also has it's perks so it's not always about doing work. PM MY ADMIN ACCOUNT!!!! 8D IN CHARACTER NEWS! ▶ Currently, Velveteen has 14 accepted applications. 6 of which are male and the other 8 being female. ▶ Among the species, Velveteen is swarming with 2 archangels, 1 gifted, 1 shaman, 2 absolute shifters, 1 bloodline shifter, 1 vampire, 1 werewolf, 2 hybrids and 1 mix breed. Be careful with the absolute shifters, as they are supposed to be rare. Also, keep in mind that hybrids and mixed breeds are not favored by society. Mixed breeds found by council members are threatened to be killed off on sight while hybrids will be taken to Justitia. ▶ We currently have a single member in the Council. We need more of these guys; they're surprisingly important folks, especially the Holy Order. Velveteen needs some Supernatural Law Enforcement~ ▶ No plots yet? WHY HAVEN'T YOU BEEN DOING YOUR JOB?!?! Seriously, we must get more active! I want to see more IC threading and participation even in the games section, dammit! Remember you guys get monies for this to build your powerful and epic characters! DO IT!!! ▶ For those of you who need clarifying when it comes to Gifted Humans and their abilities: Gifted have no limit as to how many or what ability they may have. However, if the admins think that you're trying to make Jesus in his 2nd and 3rd coming, we do have the authority to strip you of abilities. Also keep in mind you character's age. They can't be all powerful while only 14 years old. That, for lack of better words, is bullshit. Make sure that your character's abilities also have weaknesses and limits. Just because there is no set limit to a gifteds abilities, doesn't me you don't have to be realistic.
